A recent rumor suggested that there might be a new film in which the 'Bring It On' actress and the female director would reunite.

AceShowbiz - After directing "The Bling Ring" in 2013, Sofia Coppola seemed to be less active in film industry. The director may have a new project as a recent article suggested that there could be a new Kirsten Dunst - Coppola film coming in 2016.

Town & Country recently had an interview with Dunst. It is written in the magazine that "there's also talk of a third film with Sofia Coppola in 2016." If the movie is really happening, it will mark the third collaboration between Dunst and Coppola. They previously had worked together in "The Virgin Suicides" and "Marie Antoinette".

However, there is another speculation that the aformentioned project is "Fairyland: A Memoir of My Father". Back in 2013, Coppola was tapped to write the script, but the movie didn't seem to move forward. It is an adaptation of Alysia Abbott's novel of the same name about bisexual writer and activist Steve Abbott and his daughter who try to fit in with a new environment which is surrounded by gay men in search of liberation.

Coppola currently works in "A Very Murray Christmas", a Netflix movie starring Bill Murray. As for Dunst, she will next be seen in season 2 of "Fargo", which will debut on FX on October 12, and Jeff Nichols' sci-fi "Midnight Special", which will arrive in U.S. theaters on March 18, 2016.
