Bruce Willis to Star in Thriller 'Extraction'

The 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' star is set to play a former CIA operative in the movie directed by 'Submerged' helmer Steven C. Miller.

AceShowbiz - Bruce Willis keeps himself busy with new projects. The actor is starring in a new thriller "Extraction" which is directed by "Submerged" helmer Steven C. Miller, according to a Tuesday, January 20 report from Deadline. The movie is set to start production on February 9 in Alabama with a script by Umair Aleem.

In the action flick, Willis is playing a former CIA operative who hasn't been the same after his wife was murdered. He has a son who is also a CIA operative and with his father they are working on the development of a super-weapon called the Condor when dad is kidnapped by a terrorist group.

"Extraction" is produced by Randall Emmett, George Furla and Adam Goldworm. The flick is targeting a 2016 release date.

Just last week, the "Die Hard" star was reported to have joined another thriller called "Wake". In the movie directed by John Pogue, Willis plays a sociopath named Red Forrester who has to save his family, who banished him from their home years ago, when they are in danger. It will start filming in Cleveland, Ohio on February 16.
