AceShowbiz - People just can't let it go. Super popular animated movie "Frozen (2013)" has been named 2014's Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press. Although the movie was released in 2013, its popularity among children and the public did not cease throughout the year.

"Frozen" obtained 12 votes in 47 ballots submitted by members and subscribers of the AP. Trailing behind the movie featuring Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven is Taylor Swift with eight, while Jimmy Fallon and Matthew McConaughey are tied with seven. "Frozen" now joins previous winners such as Jennifer Lawrence, Adele and Lady GaGa among others.

Disney raked in more than $1.27 billion at the box office worldwide after "Frozen" was released in late 2013. The movie's original soundtrack featuring Oscar-winning song "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel is also equally successful. It topped Billboard 200 for multiple weeks and sold more than 3.5 million copies. The song, meanwhile, peaked at No. 5 on Billboard Hot 100.

"It's amazing. A year later, it's still crazy," said Chris Buck, who co-wrote and co-directed the movie with Jennifer Lee, as reported by the news outlet. He couldn't believe the massive popularity, adding, "I don't know if it's possible. I kind of hope it's not possible because this is a really great feeling."
