Sugarland and Keith Urban Added as Performers at 2009 CMT Awards

Beside booking Sugarland and Keith Urban, 2009 CMT Awards also recruits rock band Def Leppard as its performer.

AceShowbiz - Sugarland and Keith Urban have been listed as musical acts for this year's Country Music Television (CMT) Awards. Another performer set to make a live appearance at the annual event is English rock band Def Leppard.

In addition to those musicians, the awards also lines up performances from Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts. Joining them in the performers list are Toby Keith and Brad Paisley. Other musical guests will be disclosed later.

2009 CMT Music Awards is going to take place at Nashville's Sommet Center on June 16, one day earlier than its original date. Tickets for the event are set to go on sale on May 2, and short list of its nominees, consisting of four names each, from all categories except Video of the Year will be announced on May 19. As for the final nominees of Video of the Year, it will be unveiled at the beginning of the live show.

As of press time, long list of the awards' nominations can be checked on CMT official website. At this first-round nominations, both Sugarland and Keith Urban got three nods each. Voting to determine its final nominees will run through May 11.
