MURDER ON THE INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY -- When Tracy Conley, a young psychologist, is found viciously stabbed to death, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) find that the apparent mugging may be linked to the confidential client files in her computer. One of Conley's patients, a former rapist (guest star Frank Lewallen), is found to have enlisted the aid of an Internet company to find and alter condemning information she had recorded about him--making him the chief suspect in the murder. But Executive A.D.A. McCoy (Sam Waterston) and A.D.A. Southerlyn (Elisabeth Rohm) go one step further by holding the owner of the Internet investigation company (guest star Frank Whaley, "Buddy Faro," "Swimming with Sharks") responsible for his part in providing a criminal with motive for murder.
