MACHETE MURDERS PUT SHARP FOCUS ON MANIPULATIVE FOSTER MOTHER; OSCAR AND EMMY WINNER WHOOPI GOLDBERG GUEST-STARS -- A rampage of brutal machete slayings that target affluent art owners has Detectives Logan (Chris Noth) and Barek (Annabella Sciorra) looking for some young suspects who were all raised by Chesley (Oscar and Emmy Award-winning guest star Whoopi Goldberg), a strong-willed foster mother. But the case really blows up when Logan unknowingly shoots an undercover cop dead -- and while Captain Deakins (Jamey Sheridan) sticks his neck out for his detective, a shaken Logan must go eye-to-evil-eye with the manipulative Chesley.
