The 'My Heart Will Go On' hitmaker opens up about the physical toll she endured for her iconic 1994 nuptials where she had a huge headpiece 'glued' to her head.

AceShowbiz - In a recent video for Vogue's "Life in Looks" series, Celine Dion looked back on her iconic wedding day and shared the behind-the-scenes story of her elaborate headpiece. "The dress couldn't have been big enough," Dion said. "I could've had three times the size on my head."

The headpiece, which weighed nearly seven pounds and was adorned with 2,000 Swarovski crystals, was "glued to [her] head" and "sewn" to stay in place. Dion admitted that she initially thought she could "manage the weight" because "when you're so happy, there's no weight, there's no problem, there's no pain."

However, when it came to the actual wedding, the church's carpet flooring proved to be a challenge. "I had an immediate facelift," Dion recalled. "I start to walk and I go like, 'Am I gonna make it? Am I gonna make it to my future husband?' But like I said, I'm going to run to you. I did."

Despite the pain, Dion put it aside and enjoyed her wedding night. But when she went to remove the headpiece later that evening, she had a cut on her head. The next morning, the situation worsened.

"The next day I wake up, I look at myself in the mirror," Dion said. "I have the size of an egg in the middle of my forehead. I looked to my husband and I said, 'It's too late now. We're married.' "

Dion also spoke about her late husband, Rene Angelil, who died of cancer in 2016. She said she still feels his presence and that the wedding day was "a moment that will be with me for the rest of my life."

Dion's video comes after she covered the latest edition of Vogue France. In an Instagram post, Dion shared her thoughts on beauty and her ongoing health battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.

"I'm honored to be doing a photo shoot for Vogue France," she wrote. "I'm very proud that, at 55, I've been asked to reveal my beauty. But what is beauty? Beauty is you, it's me, it's what's inside, it's our dreams, it’s today."

Dion concluded her post by expressing her determination to overcome her health challenges and return to the stage.
