After the 'Boss Baby' star is caught on camera furiously hitting a woman's phone for asking him to say 'Free Palestine,' many person deem the woman the aggressor.

AceShowbiz - Social media users have come to Alec Baldwin's defense after he was caught on camera smacking a woman's phone. The actor was visibly irritated when he was accosted by an anti-Israel protestor inside a New York City coffee shop, but after seeing a video of the incident, many blamed the woman.

In the clip, the woman was filming the 66-year-old actor while he appeared to be on the phone and at the cash register inside the shop. The woman relentlessly harassed him, asking him to say "Free Palestine."

"Alec, can you please say 'Free Palestine' one time," said the woman, who hosts an "anti-fascist" show called "Crackhead Barney & Friends". She continued to accost the former "Saturday Night Live" star before he went toward the door inside Maman on University Place and motioned for her to get out.

"Free Palestine, Alec, just one time, and I'll leave you alone," the woman said. "I'll leave you alone, I swear." Not giving up yet, she pressed, "Just say 'Free Palestine' one time, one time," as he shook his head no and held the door open. "F**k Israel, f**k Zionism," she added.

The protestor then pivoted to ask Alec about the "Rust" shooting which left cinematographer Halyna Hutchins killed. Alec is currently facing a charge in the fatal shooting, "Why did you kill that lady, you killed that lady and got no jail time," the woman claimed while calling him a "criminal."

At one point, an employee tried to get the woman to stop, but to no avail. Alec also appeared to ask the worker to call police during the verbal altercation. The video then cuts to Alec smacking the protestor's phone after he appeared to ask the worker, "Can you do me a quick favor?"

It's unclear when the confrontation took place. After the video was posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday, April 22, and reposted on Instagram, many voiced their support for Alec. "She was harassing him that's what she get!" one Instagram user commented on the clip.

Agreeing, a second person wrote, "She's literally harassing him. I would've threw her phone." Another claimed, "She definitely aggravated the assault." A fourth user similarly remarked, "Literally antagonizing him ad playing victim."

"if you ask me he had a lot of patience," someone weighed in. Blasting several outlets' headlines about the incident, another said, "To say that HE attacked her is CRAZZZZZYYYYY." Echoing the sentiment, someone else asked, "Why doesn't the title read 'Woman harrasses Alec Baldwin ' instead of this crap?"

This isn't the first time Alec got hounded by anti-Israel activists. Back in December 2023, a group of protestors heckled the actor and asked if he condemned Israel. When the "30 Rock" alum said, "No, I support peace for Gaza," the protestors were annoyed. "Go f**k yourself," a man yelled.
