In a soon-to-be released interview, the former 'Las Vegas' star recalls that she was forced to drastically change her diet after getting body-shamed for being 'too fat.'

AceShowbiz - Molly Sims has opened up about her unpleasant experiences as a model. In a sneak peek of an upcoming Sunday's episode of "Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone", the actress portraying Delinda Deline on "Las Vegas" revealed that she was body-shamed and it led to a "stressful time" in the beginning of her modeling career.

Speaking to host Curtis Stone in the teaser video, which was uploaded on Friday, April 5, she says, "The moment I crossed over into modeling, it was only how I looked. I never knew that my nose was crooked. I know it was weird. I think I got hit when I was young."

Molly recalls, "The photographer would be like, 'Can you move over a little bit to your left? Can you move a little bit to your right?' And finally after, like, two weeks of modeling, I'm like, 'Is there something wrong?' They're like, 'Your nose is crooked. You're not symmetrical.' "

About her response at that time, the former "House of Style" host recounts, "And I was like, 'What?' " She goes on to list other body-shaming comments that she received, "And then you know, too fat, too big, too blonde, too dark. I mean it was definitely a stressful time."

Molly further explains how the unpleasant comments led her to change her relationship with food. "In terms of food, it became very difficult for someone who grew up very Southern. I mean my mom was one of six so all they did was cook. I mean grits and chicken and cakes and pies," she elaborates.

"It was hard," the catwalk beauty states. "That transition of food because I never really thought about food. I was in college going to Wendy's, eating a frosty with french fries, dipping you know what I mean? So it went from that to basically, I wouldn't say starving myself, but pretty much so. It was such a drastic, I had a lot of support from my mom and my dad, but it was hard."

Despite the struggle, Molly made it to become one of the most successful models. She was featured in campaigns for Jimmy Choo, Escada, Giorgio Armani, Michael Kors and Chanel, among many others. In addition, she appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from 2000 to 2006.
