The 'On the Floor' hitmaker also reveals that she was actually unbothered by the comedienne calling her 'one long scam' in a 2020 episode of the 'Scam Goddess' podcast.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez has finally addressed Ayo Edebiri's past comments about her. In a new Variety cover story, the "On the Floor" hitmaker revealed that "The Bear" star was mortified when apologizing to her ahead of their "Saturday Night Live" gigs.

"She was mortified and very sweet," the 54-year-old said of the comedienne. "She came to my dressing room and apologized with tears in her eyes, saying how terrible it was that she had said those things."

"She felt really badly and loved my performance because we had just done my soundcheck and she actually got to hear me perform," the singer/actress continued recalling. "She was just like, 'I'm so f**king sorry, it was so awful of me.' "

J.Lo went on to note that she was actually unbothered upon learning Ayo's diss toward her. "It's funny," the multi-talented megastar said. "I've heard similar things said about me throughout my career, so it really didn't affect me."

Ayo slammed J.Lo when appearing on the "Scam Goddess" podcast in 2020. In the episode, she called J.Lo "one long scam" for allegedly using ghost singers to record her music.

"She thinks she's on multiple tracks, but it's not her," the Golden Globe Award stated at the time. "I think she thinks that she's still good even though she's not singing for most of these songs."

After the interview resurface online, Ayo poked fun at herself when hosting the February 3 episode of "SNL". She said, "OK, OK! We get it. It's wrong to leave mean comments or post comments just for clout -- or run your mouth on a podcast and you don't consider the impact because you're 24 and stupid... But I think I speak for everyone when I say, from now on, we're going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online."
