AceShowbiz - The Recording Academy honored the best of the best in music at the 66th Grammy Awards. Taking place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4, the awards-giving event celebrated musicians with Miley Cyrus being among the early winners that night.

The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker, who edged out fellow nominees Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift, was named as the winner of Best Solo Pop Performance for her hit "Flowers", the Bruno Mars-interpolating song. The victory marked the singer's first Grammy of her career.

In her speech, Miley said, "This MC is gonna stand by this MC for this because this is just too iconic," referring to Mariah Carey who presented the award. "Oh my god I just got stuck in the rain in traffic and thought I was going to miss this moment. I could miss the award but I can't miss Mariah Carey." In addition to Best Solo Pop Performance, Miley was nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at this year's Grammys.

Also making history that night was Karol G as she snagged the award for Best Musica Urbana Album for "MANANA SERA BONITO". With the win, the Colombian star becomes the first female reggaeton artist to win a Grammy.

"Hi, my name is Karol G. I'm from Medellin, Colombia. This is my first time at Grammys, and this is my first time holding my own Grammy," she shared during her award winning acceptance speech after receiving the trophy from Christina Aguilera and Maluma.

She continued, "I'm super happy, I'm super nervous, I'm super excited to be in front of so many legends that I admire and respect. This is such a beautiful thing, my album has given me the best memories in my own life, my whole life. My fans that came and enjoyed my album - they get motivation and inspiration with me and heal with me. Thank you so much, I promise you to give my best always and I hope this is the first of so many. Thank you everybody!"
