The former radio personality's new post comes after Lifetime's 'Where Is Wendy Williams?' dropped its bombshell trailer, featuring her grappling with substance abuse and financial issues.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams returns to Instagram, ending her months-long social media hiatus. The former daytime talk show host posted a new photo of herself on her page, shortly after a trailer of an upcoming documentary about her life amid personal struggles was released.

Shared on Friday, February 2, the snap saw Wendy posing in what appeared to be a library. The 59-year-old media personality donned a gray gown and blue jacket with pronounced shoulder pads for the photo shoot.

Looking like she's in good spirits, she sat on a wooden chair while smiling at the camera. "Welcome Everyone…," @thewendyexperiencepodcast wrote over the snap.

Wendy Williams returned to Instagram after months-long hiatus.

Wendy was set to launch the podcast last year after her long-running talk show "The Wendy Williams Show" ended its run in June 2022. The planned podcast was rumored to be canceled in March 2023, but Wendy's publicist Shawn Zanotti claimed that the plan hadn't changed. "We are still working behind the scenes on several projects. There has been no official cancellation of the podcast," she said at the time.

Wendy's new post came after Lifetime's documentary "Where Is Wendy Williams?" dropped its bombshell trailer on Thursday. The now-deleted video featured the former radio personality grappling with substance abuse and financial issues. "I have no money," she said. "I'm going to tell you something - if it happens to me, it could happen to you."

Later in the trailer, Wendy could be seen breaking into tears as she said, "I miss my family." She also accused people around her of "stealing money from me," adding that she has no friends.

The footage also saw Wendy's sister Wanda saying, "Everybody could look at her and tell that this is not just alcohol. There's something more going on." When asked if she knew where the former TV star was, she replied, "No, I don't know the exact location of where she is."

The star's son Kevin Hunter, Jr., meanwhile, blamed people surrounding his mom for doing nothing and allowing her alcoholism to continue. "I feel like the guardian has not done a good job in protecting my mom," he said. Her sister additionally insisted that her family should be the one taking care of the New York native.

"Where Is Wendy Williams?" is set to arrive on Lifetime on February 24 and 25.
