AceShowbiz - Elle King has put her Texas show on hold following backlash over her drunken Dolly Parton tribute performance. The "America's Sweetheart" was supposed to perform at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth this weekend, but the show has been rescheduled.

A representative for the venue told TMZ that the 34-year-old was supposed to perform on Friday, January 26, but her team canceled it and didn't let them know about the sudden change until the last minute without a clear reason. The gig has now been moved to September 21.

This arrived after Elle disappointed fans with her "horrible" performance on Friday night, January 19. When taking the stage at the Ryman Auditorium to commemorate Dolly's 78th birthday, she was filmed delivering Dolly's song titled "Marry Me".

In the clip, Elle could be heard singing, "I don't know the lyrics to these things in this f**king town/ Don't tell Dolly 'cus it's her birthday." She went on to tell concertgoers, "I'm not even gonna f**king lieā€¦ y'all bought tickets for this s**t, you ain't getting your money back." She then confessed, "I'm gonna tell you one thing more. Hi, my name is Elle King, I'm f**king hammered."

After the footage went viral, many social media users voiced their thoughts on Elle's performance. In the comments section, one in particular stated, "It was tragic to witness this! I'm glad they pulled the curtain on her. Huge disrespect to Dolly." Another asked, "This is disappointing. I've seen Elle live before & she put on a great show. I'm wondering if she was on something??"

It prompted Opry to issue a public apology. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the venue wrote, "Hi Judas, we deeply regret and apologize for the language that was used during last night's second Opry performance."
