Jonathan Majors Feels 'Blessed' Despite 'Shocking' Guilty Verdict in Assault Case

When speaking in the first interview since his guilty verdict, the 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' villain also claims that he hasn't seen his daughter due to the case.

AceShowbiz - Jonathan Majors managed to see a silver lining in his legal case. While admitting that he was "shocked and afraid" after being found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, the former MCU star said he "feels" blessed that he gets to know who really cares about him during the hard times.

The 34-year-old spoke up about the matter in the first interview since his guilty verdict. "I was absolutely shocked and afraid," he told "ABC News Live" 's Linsey Davis. "I'm standing there and the verdict comes down. I say, 'How is that possible based off the evidence, based off the prosecution's evidence, let alone our evidence? How is that possible?' "

Jonathan, however, noted that he's "really blessed" to have been " surrounded by people who love me, who care about me." He added, But this has been very, very, very hard, and very difficult, and confusing in many ways... But I'm standing."

The "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" villain went on to claim that he hasn't seen his daughter due to the case. "Everything has kinda gone away. And it's just me now, you know, and my lovely, you know, partner, [actress Meagan Good], and my dogs," he shared said.

Jonathan, who maintains he was not the aggressor during his fight with Grace, also made use the interview to share his side of the story. "She went to grab the phone," he recalled the incident. "I held the phone. I pulled the phone back. She came on top of me, squeezed my face, slapped me. That's all I remember."

As for what caused Grace's injuries, Jonathan said, "I wish to god I knew. That would give clarity." He continued, "That would give me some type of peace about it."

Jonathan has been convicted of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault of his ex-partner Grace. He was also found not guilty of one count of intentional assault in the third degree and one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree.
