The CNN journalist is blasted online for 'the audacity' after telling the 'Ferrari' actor that he doesn't look like a 'typical movie star' in an interview about his new movie.

AceShowbiz - Chris Wallace has landed in hot water following an interview with Adam Driver. The CNN anchor has been dragged online for asking a rude question to the Hollywood actor about his look.

The Kylo Ren depicter in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy recently sat down with the journalist on the latter's show "Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?". They were talking about Adam's latest film "Ferrari", but the conversation took an awkward turn when Chris pointed out how Adam doesn't "look like the typical movie star" and asked whether that has helped or hindered his career in Hollywood.

The "Girls" alum appeared to be taken aback by the question, but he took it in stride as he replied, "I look how I look. I can't change that, so I guess it helped me."

The 40-year-old even revealed his positive attitude in dealing with such criticism. "The New Yorker has also called me a horse-face," he shared. "I remember reading one reviewer [who said], 'His agent probably doesn't know whether to put him in a movie or the Kentucky Derby.' So if you believe the good thing, you have to believe the bad thing. I try to not absorb anything."

While Adam did not seem to take the comment personally, his fans were clearly offended by Chris' remark. "This guy interviewing Adam Driver is some kind of scumbag, eh?" one person reacted to the interview on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Another slammed the journalist, "Men like chris wallace look like turtles and look at hotties like adam driver and say 'why don't you look like robert redford' to their face and it truly shows how f**king dumb men are." A fumed fan penned, "Chris Wallace having the audacity to say something about Adam Driver appearance all while looking like that is f**king crazy."

Defending the two-time Oscar nominee, a fourth user said, "I don't who the f**k Is Chris Wallace but it's so unrespectful being so rude with an actor of Adam Driver's category, he is one of the most talented male actors and physical gorgeous as inside. Adam Driver and any f*****g person in the whole world deserves kindness and respect."

Someone else praised Adam for his response, "Adam Driver handled that poor excuse of a professional interview with class! Chris Wallace is a well grown man that was hating on another grown man on national television."

Adam recently also dealt with a rude question at Camerimage Film Festival in Poland. During the post-screening Q&A in November, he was asked by an audiece member about his opinion on the "cheesy" car crash scenes in "Ferrari".

"What do you think about [the] crash scenes? They looked pretty harsh, drastic and, I must say, cheesy for me. What do you think?" the festgoer asked. Without hesitation, Adam replied, "F**k you, I don't know? Next question," drawing chuckle from other audience members.
