In the lawsuit filed in New York, Jane Doe claims the comedian exposed himself to her in full view of cast and crew before allegedly assaulting her as a crew member guarded the door from the outside.

AceShowbiz - Russell Brand is facing a new sexual assault allegation. The "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" actor has been sued by a woman for allegedly assaulting her during the production of the film "Arthur" back in July 2010.

Referred to as Jane Doe, the plaintiff filed the lawsuit on Friday, November 3 in New York. She claimed that the comedian "appeared intoxicated, smelled of alcohol, and was carrying a bottle of vodka on set" before he exposed his penis "in full view of the cast and crew." According to the suit, later the same day, the English comic later followed her into a bathroom and assaulted her as a crew member guarded the door from the outside.

"As a result of the sexual abuse, I suffered and continue to suffer extreme embarrassment, shame and fear," claimed the plaintiff. Aside from Brand, she also listed Warner Brothers, MBST Entertainment, BenderSpink and Langley Park Pictures as defendants.

Prior to this, Brand was accused of offenses ranging from rape and sexual assault to emotional and physical abuse by four women. The allegations were made public on 16 September as part of a joint investigation into the comic's treatment of women by The Times, Sunday Times and Channel 4's "Dispatches" investigative journalism team.

One of the women claimed she was 16 when she had an abusive relationship with a then 31-year-old Brand. Another said he raped her against a wall at his Los Angeles mansion.

The four women say his offenses came between 2006 and 2013 at the height of his fame. A series of other women have since come forward to allege sexual assault and mistreatment by Brand.

Hours before news of the four women's allegations broke, Brand posted an online video strongly denying all their accusations and saying he was part of a "coordinated attack." He also posted a video in which he raged about a media conspiracy and how the world is apparently in the grip of a "collaboration" between corporations and news outlets.
