A few days after her 'Fools Rush In' co-star's sudden death, the 'Like a Boss' actress remembers the former 'Friends' star, whom she deems 'sweet' via social media.

AceShowbiz - Salma Hayek has paid a heartfelt tribute to Matthew Perry. A few days after her "Fools Rush In" co-star's sudden death, the "Like a Boss" actress vowed to cherish the former "Friends" star's "lovely heart."

On Monday, October 30, the 57-year-old actress made use of her Instagram page to remember Matthew. She wrote, "My friend, you are gone much too soon, but I will continue to cherish your silliness, your perseverance, and your lovely heart." She went on to say, "Farewell, sweet Matthew, we will never forget you."

In the same post, Salma recalled finding out about Matthew's death. "Two days ago, I woke up to the shocking news that Matthew Perry is no longer with us," she recounted. "It's taken me a couple of days to process this profound sadness. There is a special bond that happens when you share dreams with someone, and together you work towards them."

The "Eternals" actress further explained, "I was very moved last year when Matthew shared on his Instagram stories how much he loved 'Fools Rush In,' and how he thought that that film we did together was probably his best movie. Throughout the years, he and I found ourselves reminiscing about that meaningful time in our lives with a deep sense of nostalgia and gratitude."

Along with the tribute, Salma uploaded a series of throwback photos capturing her and Matthew. One of the snaps saw her wrapping her arm around his shoulder as they posed for a picture together. Another snap captured the two taking a group photo with fellow actors George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg.

In the meantime, the other snap showed Matthew's statement about his and Salma's movie "Fools Rush In". He wrote via Instagram Story, "I did a movie that I love called Fools Rush In with @Salmahayek - that was probably my best movie." He was answering a question that read, "Is playing Chandler your most treasured role or is it some other role?"

Matthew died at the age of 54 years old on Saturday, October 28 morning. It was reported that authorities rushed to his home after receiving a call about a cardiac arrest. Sources told TMZ that he "died at his own house after some physical activity."
