The charges reportedly stem from an investigation conducted by Child Protective Services (CPS) and North Carolina's Columbus County Police following 14-year-old Jace's disappearance on September 28.

AceShowbiz - Jenelle Evans was upset knowing her husband David Eason was charged with child abuse following her son's disappearance. The "Teen Mom 2" alum expressed her distress via Instagram Story on Tuesday, October 24.

"You would think police wouldn't make a one-sided police investigation. They didn't conduct any interviews. Didn't ask any information from the parents," the 31-year-old argued. "This seems like a very bias[ed] situation like every time before."

"I trusted that detective with all my heart. I forgot you can't trust cops … silly me," the TV personality added. "I don't trust anyone around me. Going MIA for a while."

Jenelle's post arrived after TMZ reported that David was charged with misdemeanor child abuse involving her son Jace. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by Child Protective Services (CPS) and North Carolina's Columbus County Police following the 14-year-old's disappearance on September 28.

The teenager was hospitalized with visible marks on his neck and arm after being located. In Touch later confirmed that Jenelle and David were the subjects of a CPS investigation after Jace reportedly claimed his stepdad “assaulted” him.

TMZ previously claimed that an investigation into the family was due to wrap up soon after law enforcement interviewed the 14-year-old, whom Jenelle shares with her ex Andrew Lewis. After running away, Jace allegedly told the authorities that his stepdad David had assaulted him and the police had a video showing David assaulting Jace.

It was also said that Jace sported visible marks on his neck and arm. Jace was later released to his grandmother after spending over a week in a North Carolina hospital.

Earlier this year, Jenelle regained custody of Jace from her mom Barbara. Months later, the MTV star reported him as missing in the area of her North Carolina home. Thankfully, he was confirmed safe later though he made two other runaway attempts in less than two months.
