The ill-fated incident took place while the 'Tik Tok' hitmaker and the comedian were on the red carpet of a National Night of Laughter and Song in Washington, D.C. in 2017.

AceShowbiz - Kesha, previously known as Ke$ha, seemingly will never forget the moment when Jerry Seinfeld refused to hug her. While she initially laughed off the snub, which took place at a 2017 event, the "Tik Tok" hitmaker admitted that it was actually "depressing" for her.

The 36-year-old recalled the incident when appearing on "The Best Show with Tom Scharpling". For the record, it occurred while she and the comedian were on the red carpet of a National Night of Laughter and Song in Washington, D.C.

In the chat, Kesha told Tom that the event was hosted by the David Lynch Foundation. "So, [Lynch] was like, 'Could you do an event that's a charity event?’ I was in the middle of tour. I was exhausted, but I really love David Lynch, and I heard that Jerry Seinfeld's gonna to be there," she recounted.

Kesha was a fan of "Seinfeld" and she even carried its DVDs "around the world internationally" while on tour. "When it got bumpy on planes, I'd pop in Seinfeld and I'd be like, 'Everything's OK in the world' and watch my buddy," she shared.

"Then, I get to the f**king charity event, and I got really excited because he brings me peace and love and all things good in the universe, and then he didn't hug me in front of cameras," the musician reflected. "It was the most depressing and hilarious, but also so sad - it was, like, the saddest moment of my life."

Jerry, for his part, has previously revealed why he didn't hug Kesha. "I don’t hug a total stranger. I have to meet someone, say hello. I gotta start somewhere," the actor told Extra.
