Announcing the happy news at a special screening of her documentary 'Mapplethorpe', the actress gushes, 'It's a special year for us.'

AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Eliza Dushku and her husband, Peter Palandjian. The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum is pregnant with her first child with the 54-year-old CEO, breaking the news when she bumped into Us Weekly at a special screening of her documentary "Mapplethorpe" in New York City on Thursday, February 14.
"We're just very excited. We just got married in August. It's a special year for us," Eliza told the news outlet at the event, sharing that she had also been preparing for her last year at Suffolk University. "I'm newly married and I'm just so excited about this next chapter in my life. You know, I've been acting since I was 9 years old and I'm sort of finding these new things that I'm really excited about. It's been a big year but a great year."
Eliza did not disclose when her due date is nor the sex of the baby. The unborn baby will be her first child, while Peter already has four children from a previous relationship.
The happy couple, who is very private about their relationship, tied the knot in August 2018 in their hometown of Boston, one year after their engagement. They exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony in a courtyard outside the Boston Public Library, surrounded by huge displays of white flowers and candles.
Eliza announced their wedding with an Instagram post featuring several images of the couple, including a photo of them beside giant love hearts at the DeCordova Sculpture Park & Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts. There was also a picture of them kissing as they rode a tandem bike and took part in the monthly Boston Bike Party. "8.18.18," she captioned the post, referring to their wedding date.
Prior to getting married to the former professional tennis player, Eliza was romantically linked to Rick Fox, Seth MacFarlane and producer Brent Bolthouse.
