The Bad Boy Records founder appears to find inspiration from a sermon by the 66-year-old pastor, who is ironically mentioned in Rodney Jones' lawsuit against the rapper.

AceShowbiz - Sean "P. Diddy" Combs seemingly turns to his faith in this tough times. Amid his ongoing legal issues, the embattled hip-hop mogul has posted a message to his followers about standing steady by using Bishop T.D. Jakes' preach.

The "I Need a Girl" rhymer seemingly found inspiration from one of the Christian pastor's sermons as he posted on his Instagram page on Saturday, May 4 a clip that featured the bishop standing with his arms outstretched on a beach with wind shaking his body. "Not hysterical. Not frantic. Not anxious. Not fretful," his voice can be heard in the video. "But steady in the storm. Looks bad. Looks tough but remain steady in the storm."

The audio is an excerpt from a 2022 sermon titled "Steady in The Storm" by the Potter's House cleric. While Diddy received support from many of his acquaintances in the comments, not a few mocked him for turning to God in this trying time.

"Yall always call on Jesus when you caught," one person alleged. Another added, "The storm you created?" A third comment read, "He shouldn't even said nothing we wasn't even thinking about you this week."

Others pointed out the fact that Jakes was mentioned in at least one of the lawsuits. "I Dont Think He Realize Him & TD In The Same Boat," another critic remarked, with others mocking the pastor with the catchphrase "Have you ever been swallowed up?" from one of his other sermons.

"He should have shared the sermon about being SWAAALLOOOWEEDDD UPPP," one person joked. Another fan gasped, "Not Mr. Swallowed Up??" A different comment suggested that Diddy "picked the wrong pastor" to express his belief.

Jakes is mentioned in Rodney Jones' lawsuit against Diddy. In his suit, the producer claimed he had proof that the rapper "planned to leverage his relationship with Bishop T.D. Jakes, to soften the impact on his public image of Cassie Ventura's lawsuit."
