AceShowbiz - Actress Lena Dunham caught fans' attention on Monday morning (June 11) after appearing to flirt with her ex-boyfriend Jack Antonoff via Instagram.
The "Girls" creator and star, who split from the fun. and Bleachers rocker in January, shared a funny snap of herself in bed, with one of her pet cats, a Sphynx named Gia, cuddling up close to her.
"I have two cats but only one sleeps on my face and sits on my lap while I pee," she captioned the image. "The positive effect Gia Maria Carangi has had on my mental health cannot be overestimated."
Jack was quick to respond to the timing of the bright and early post, commenting, "Why are you awake?"
"cuz it's the prime time to catch you on the gram, four eyes (sic)," she replied, as she teased the spectacles-wearing musician.
Jack has yet to respond to the friendly jibe, but Lena's followers took note of the warm exchange and were hopeful of a possible romantic reunion.
"this, this is cute," remarked one fan, as another posted, "@lenadunham ya'll should get back 2gether, just sayin' (sic)".
Lena and Jack dated for five years before calling time on their relationship, and the rocker has since been linked to model Carlotta Kohl.
The actress, on the other hand, has been taking her time adjusting to the single life, and in May, revealed she has been learning to embrace her solitary time again after battling feelings of loneliness in the immediate aftermath of their split.
"Even if some people like to be alone, nobody likes to be lonely," Lena wrote in the recent Vogue article, confessing the finality of former couple's decision to call it quits "nearly killed me".
