Don Johnson to Guest on FOX's 'LA to Vegas'

The 'Miami Vice' alum will play CEO of Jackpot Airlines named Jack Silver, an arrogant and charming tycoon whose motto is to 'underthink it.'

AceShowbiz - Just days after its premiere, "LA to Vegas" has enlisted a vet actor to guest on the series. Don Johnson is set to make an appearance in guest-starring capacity on the new FOX comedy.

The "Miami Vice" alum will take on the role of CEO of Jackpot Airlines named Jack Silver. His character is described as an arrogant and charming tycoon, and his motto is to "underthink it."

Dylan McDermott's Captain Dave, who flies the Los Angeles-to-Las Vegas route, will cross paths with Johnson's Silver. The episode featuring Johnson reportedly is scheduled to air in April.

Johnson recently starred in "Brawl in Cell Block 99". His credits also include British comedy "Sick Note", "Blood & Oil" and "From Dusk Till Dawn".

Johnson is the latest actor who has been tapped to guest star on "LA to Vegas". Dermot Mulroney is set to play a rival to McDermott's Dave in the upcoming January 16 episode.

"LA to Vegas" follows the crew and passengers of a round-trip flight between the two titular cities, with people hoping to hit it big in Sin City. Playing the members of the hilarious crew are Kim Matula ("UnREAL"), Ed Weeks ("The Mindy Project"), Nathan Lee Graham ("Zoolander 2"), Olivia Macklin ("The Young Pope") and Peter Stormare ("Fargo").

Debuting on Tuesday night, January 2, the comedy gained a solid rating. It averaged a 1.1 rating in adults 18-49 demo and managed to pull in 3.8 million viewers.

The series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Gary Sanchez Productions. Lon Zimmet creates the series as well as serves as an executive producer alongside Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy. Also executive producing the series are Owen Burke and Steve Levitan, with the latter serving behind the lends for the pilot.

"LA to Vegas" airs on Tuesdays at 9 P.M. on FOX.
