Check Out First Trailers for Baz Luhrmann's 'The Get Down' and Royal Drama 'The Crown'

Both the 1970s hip-hop drama from Luhrmann and the adaptation of award-winning play 'The Audience' about Queen Elizabeth II's early reign are coming to Netflix later this year.

AceShowbiz - Netflix is going full throttle to promote its original programs which will arrive in 2016. The streaming giant has released the first trailers for Baz Luhrmann's "The Get Down" and "The Crown" written by Academy Award nominee Peter Morgan.

Set in 1970s New York City, hip-hop drama "The Get Down" follows a ragtag crew of South Bronx teens that are at the center of the birth of hip-hop, punk and disco. Violence, dances and music are among things seen in the sneak-peek video.

"The pale faced media tells us we're all going to hell," says a voiceover in the trailer. "But maybe we're just the first ones to light the fire." Shameik Moore, Justice Smith, Jaden Smith, Herizen Guardiola, Skylan Brooks, Tremaine Brown Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jimmy Smits and Giancarlo Esposito star on this series.

"The Crown", meanwhile, is a royal drama based on award-winning play "The Audience" that focuses on Queen Elizabeth II's early reign. The video sees actress Claire Foy as 25-year-old Elizabeth who navigates between political rivalries and her romance as she prepares to take over the British monarchy.

Matt Smith joins the cast as Prince Philip and John Lithgow portrays Winston Churchill. Stephen Daldry directs and executive produces the drama series.

Netflix has additionally released new pictures from Ricky Gervais' new comedy movie "Special Correspondents". Also starring Eric Bana and Vera Farmiga, it follows a struggling New York-based radio journalist (Bana), whose arrogance and decadent lifestyle have hindered his career. With his job on the line, he fakes front-line war reports from the comfort of his hideout above a Spanish restaurant in Queens.

The film will premiere on April 29.
