See First Official Images of Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie in 'The Legend of Tarzan'
Movie

Warner Bros. has released two official images for the upcoming adventure movie, one of which features Skarsgard's Tarzan and Robbie's Jane having a romantic moment in a jungle.

AceShowbiz - The first official look at Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie in "The Legend of Tarzan" has been unveiled. Warner Bros. has released two pictures which give a look at Skarsgard's title character and Robbie's Jane.

The first image features a romantic moment of Jane and Tarzan in the middle of a jungle. Meanwhile, the second photo sees Skarsgard's hunky character amidst the rain.

The upcoming movie will be different from its original story. Instead of telling a story about a man being raised by apes and becoming lord of the jungle, "The Legend of Tarzan" will follow the title character leaving the jungle of Africa, along with his beloved wife Jane, and becoming a British gentleman. A decade removed from his home in the Congo, he has been invited back to the nation to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament only to be put in serious danger.

"It's almost the opposite of the classic tale, where it's about taming the beast," Skarsgard told USA Today. "This is about a man who's holding back and slowly as you peel off the layers, he reverts back to a more animalistic state and lets that side of his personality out."

Skarsgard seems to devote his time and energy to approach the shape of Tarzan. He spent four months to have a hard training before principal photography started. "I basically didn't see my family or my friends," he said, though according to him, the part "was definitely worth getting up at 4:30 in the morning."

Yates added some information about Robbie's role in the movie. The director said that the character would be "in no way a passive partner to Tarzan." "She's a really strong, assertive, beautifully knowledgeable, very sexy modern woman who can more than look after herself," the director explained.

The movie also stars Djimon Hounsou as Chief Mbonga, Samuel L. Jackson as the real-life figure of George Washington Williams and Christoph Waltz as Belgian antagonist Captain Leon Rom. The action adventure movie is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. on July 1, 2016.
