AceShowbiz - Morris Chestnut's Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. is ready to be at Miami PD's service for a full season. FOX has ordered back-nine episodes of freshman drama "Rosewood", bringing its first season to a total of 22 episodes.

" 'Rosewood' has proven to be a real self-starter for us, which is a tremendous feat on this highly competitive night. Todd Harthan, Morris, Jaina [Lee Ortiz], Lorraine [Toussaint] and the entire cast and crew have done a fantastic job creating a gorgeous, sexy world that is the perfect complement to 'Empire'," Fox Entertainment President David Madden said in a statement.

He added, "The upcoming episodes are so compelling as we build out the family dynamics, and with today's order, we're excited to explore the world of 'Rosewood' even further this season."

The crime procedural follows the title character, a private pathologist who often lends his expertise to help Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) solve the most challenging cases in Miami. Serving as a lead-in to "Empire", it has averaged a 2.2 rating in the coveted 18-49 adults demo and a total of 7.3 million viewers.

"Rosewood" airs Wednesdays at 8 P.M. ET on FOX.
