For her first Christmas without mother Joan who died a few months ago, the TV personality wants her son Cooper to start laughing again.

AceShowbiz - Melissa Rivers has one simple Christmas wish. The TV personality, who lost her mother Joan Rivers a few months ago, has stated that all she wants for the holiday is to see her son able to laugh again.

Melissa revealed her touching wish when she met a TMZ photographer as she was leaving Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood. "My Christmas wish is that my son starts laughing again," she said of her 13-year-old son Cooper Endicott who was very close to his grandmother.

"I want everyone to have a great New Year and a very merry Christmas," she added. "I think everything's going to be all good in the new year."

Joan passed away in September at the age of 81 following complications from a surgical procedure. Recently, Melissa spoke publicly for the first time about her late mother during The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Breakfast in Los Angeles.

Calling her mother "fearless," she said, "I don't mean she didn't have any fears. I mean that although she was only 5-foot-2, she stood tall and walked through them.... She was willing to say what others were thinking and too frightened to admit. She never apologized for a joke and no topic was taboo and she was fine with that."
