A woman, who sounds like Eva Green's Vanessa Ives, asks in the video, 'Do you believe the past can return?'

AceShowbiz - "Penny Dreadful" isn't returning until 2015, but Showtime has released the first teaser for the new season. The short video doesn't share any footage from the upcoming season 2, but features a female voiceover asking, "Do you believe the past can return?"
A man, whose face isn't seen either, answers, "More than that. It never leaves us." The woman, who sounds like Eva Green's Vanessa Ives, replies, "God help us, then." Meanwhile, the scene shows blood seeping through a paper or cloth before the shot reveals a picture of a scorpion.
"Penny Dreadful" will feature Helen McCrory's Madame Kali, who recurred in season 1, as "a great antagonist." Showtime president David Nevins teased, "Season 1's antagonist was sort of an inhuman character. It'll be good to have a more human antagonist."
Both McCrory and Simon Russell Beale, who played Egyptologist Ferdinand Lyle in season 1, are upped to series regulars for season 2. Tony Award winner Patti LuPone, Douglas Hodge, Sarah Greene and Jonny Beauchamp will guest star in the sophomore season.
