Follow the adventures of Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D'Artagnan in this latest take on Alexandre Dumas' novel.

AceShowbiz - An extended trailer for BBC America's "The Musketeers" has been made available for viewing pleasure to hype up the upcoming premiere of the new series. The video hints that the show has a good mix of action and humor while occasionally featuring sex scenes.

Taking on Alexandre Dumas' 1844 classic novel, the upcoming series is set in 17th century Paris, where law and order is an idea more than a reality. Tom Burke, Howard Charles, Santiago Cabrera and Luke Pasqualino play Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D'Artagnan, King Louis XIII's personal bodyguards who stand resolutely for social justice, honor, valor, love - and for the thrill of it.

"Doctor Who" actor Peter Capaldi stars as the villainous Cardinal Richelieu, who strives to achieve his vision of a thoroughly modern France. He will stop at nothing to achieve his objectives.

The first season of "The Musketeers" already aired in the U.K. and will debut on BBC America Sunday, June 22 at 9/8c. The show has been renewed for a second season for a 2015 premiere.
