Troubled actress-singer Lindsay Lohan, according to his mother Dina Lohan, is okay following a break-in at her home in the Hollywood Hills over the weekend. Yet, the 23-year-old entertainer is "upset" by what has happened and is planning to move to a safer place.

TMZ broke the report that Lindsay's home was raided early Sunday morning, August 23. Lindsay arrived home at about 3:00 A.M. from a weekend in New York when she discovered her home had been burglarized. She then quickly called her father Michael Lohan.

Michael strongly believed the burglary was "an inside job", telling TMZ it was "because the people that work for Lindsay failed to turn the alarm on." He furthermore said, "a safe was ripped off the wall and a couple of watches were taken."

"It's true," Dina told People of the TMZ report, revealing that Lindsay was attending a birthday celebration in Malibu for a family friend when the incident took place. "The safe was ripped out of the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed ... Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken too. Thank God she wasn't home," revealed Dina.

Dina went on telling People that Lindsay had been planning to move out from the house even before the burglary occurred. And now "Ali and Linds just left me in New York, and left people in charge to pack, as we are moving her to a safer place," so said Dina.

The LAPD, in the meantime, stated "All we can confirm is that we are investigating a possible break in at the residence and we still have officers on the scene. We got a call shortly before 7 A.M. this morning and it's still under investigation. No arrests have been made."

The weekend burglary marks the second time that Lindsay Lohan's home has been targeted by thieves. Back in May surveillance cameras caught burglars attempting to raid her home. They left empty handed though.
