A longer and more informative trailer of the TV movie goes back to the root problem that later gets Alex Russo in a lot of trouble.

Disney Channel's "Princess Protection Program" premiered on Friday, June 26 and attached to it is a full-length trailer of Selena Gomez's other TV movie, "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie". Unlike the first trailer, this one reveals how the disaster actually starts.
Alex Russo wants more than what she gets. At 16, she wants freedom and to be treated like a grown up, but her mother won't have it. Alex then accidentally wishes for her parents to have never even met, and it does happen. As a result, her existence as well as her brothers are threatened. Together with Justin, Alex must endure a walk through the jungle in order to reverse the spell by finding the Stone of Dreams.
A two-hour movie version of the original series "Wizards of Waverly Place", the TV movie will be premiered on August 1. The shooting was largely taken in Puerto Rico, where the Russos are vacationing in celebration of the parents' anniversary.
