is piling up one movie role after another as Variety reported that the "" hunk has been tapped to star in "". In this adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's short story, the 23-year-old will tackle a character that he describes to be "totally amoral".

Report of him joining "Bel Ami" came in when Pattinson hit the 62nd Cannes Film Festival to promote his in-development film "". The new project is the second movie in which the 23-year-old is reported to star during the period of less than a month. He was earlier set to play opposite and in "".

During his appearance in Cannes, Pattinson also discussed about "Remember Me". Of his character, he revealed that it won't be too different from his Edward Cullen. "They're both about commitment," he explained. He also stated on what he thinks about the female lead, which is yet to be cast, should have, saying "The girl needs to be literally inspirational."

"Bel Ami" itself is a morality tale centered on Georges Duroy, a man who rises to the top by manipulating a series of powerful and wealthy mistresses. Though the movie is expected to be filmed in Paris next year, it's unclear whether this adaptation will be contemporary or true to the source material which was published in 1885 as a period piece.
