Glenn Close, Jake Gyllenhaal and Ricky Gervais are set to present the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards to be held at The Beverly Hilton on January 11, 2009.

AceShowbiz - Glenn Close and Jake Gyllenhaal are lined up to make a presenting job at 2009 Golden Globe Awards. In doing their duty, the two stars will also be joined by another actor Ricky Gervais, who plays Dr. McPhee in upcoming movie "Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian".

The Golden Globe Awards, produced by Dick Clark Productions and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, honors the best in television and film in 25 categories. The show will take place at The Beverly Hilton on Sunday, January 11, 2009 and will be broadcast live by NBC from 8 P.M. EST. At the event, director/producer Steven Spielberg will receive Cecil B. DeMille Award for his contributions to entertainment.

The awards' nominations have been announced earlier this month. Led by "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", "Doubt" and "Frost/Nixon" with five counts each, the list also revealed that late Australian actor Heath Ledger earned a nomination for "Best Performance By an Actor In a Supporting Role In a Motion Picture" for his appearance as Joker in "The Dark Knight".

In support of the forthcoming event, an official poster for the awards has also been released. Designed by artist Colin McGreal in association with Famous Frames, it features the world's most famous golden orb flanked by parallel rows of palm trees that give a sense of the iconic Los Angeles setting for the event recognized worldwide as "The Party of the Year."
