New York Comic Con 09: Updates for 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'

Bryan Lee O'Malley, the creator and author of "Scott Pilgrim" comic book, has confirmed his involvement on "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" at 2009 New York Comic Con on Sunday, February 8. "I've officially been a script consultant, but really I've read every draft before anyone else has and have done a lot of contributions of my own," so the cartoonist claimed as quoted by IGN.

Explaining further, he stated, "Some stuffs from the early drafts of my scripts have ended up in the movie and some stuff from the movie have ended up in my books." Nonetheless, he added, "There's really not much else to say because it hasn't really started yet. Everything that you know I know. Hopefully, I'll get to go and see them shooting and hopefully it will be a good movie. I don't know."

Video: Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake and More Singing at 2009 Grammys

The 51st Annual Grammy Awards has been held on February 8 during an extravagant night at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, and Jonas Brothers as well as Justin Timberlake were among musical guests recruited to rock the show. U2 and Carrie Underwood were also seen entertaining music lovers at the annual event.

The Jonas Brothers teamed up with Stevie Wonder, singing "Burnin' Up" from the band's third studio album "A Little Bit Longer" and Stevie's 1972 song "Superstition". Meanwhile, Justin shared the stage with T.I., delivering "Dead and Gone".

New York Comic Con 09: First-Half Screening of 'Up'

On the first day of the 4th annual New York Comic Con, Pixar have held a special screening of their upcoming animated movie "Up" for selected press and 300 lucky fans. The screening which took place at the IGN Theater on Saturday, February 7, presented a look into the first 46 minutes of the animated movie and IGN have written down what they have seen at the preview.

"Up" opens with a scene when Carl Fredricksen is only a little boy. In the scene, it can be seen that young Carl is watching a newsreel about an explorer named Charles Muntz and fascinated by Muntz's adventure. However, he is not the only one interested by it. When walking home, he meets Ellie, a tomboy who is equally fascinated by the nature and adventure.

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson Reportedly Reconcile

Former lovers, Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson, have sparked rumors of them getting back together after the actress is snapped visiting his new house in Malibu. In an exclusive report on its site, X17 Online claims, her black SUV has been seen entering his house "numerous times over the past two weeks."

"Kate has been coming religiously. She's here at least a couple times a week and she's been sunbathing in the back yard, hanging out by the pool," X17 Online photographer testifies. Greater than that, Kate is reported to also bring Ryder, her son with ex-husband Chris Robinson, during her visit to Owen's house.

Third Winchester Brother in 'Supernatural' Cast

The news of a third Winchester brother in "Supernatural" had spread early January this year and it apparently is coming true. TV Guide is reporting that an actor has been cast to be the brother of Sam and Dean who will appear in the April 23 episode.

Jake Abel, who has played small roles in "CSI: Miami" and "Cold Case", will play John's secret child, Adam Milligan. John reportedly owns the child through one of his wild adventures while hunting for the demons. Sam and Dean will discover about him in the episode titled "Jump the Shark".

A music video aimed to promote Plies' single "Want It, Need It" has arrived. Directed by Plies himself joining forces with Yolanda Gerald, it features Ashanti, who teams up with him in the track as well as makes a cameo appearance.

Plies has released "Want It, Need It" in early January as the second single from his third studio album "Da REAList". As for the effort, he has dropped it since mid December 2008 under Atlantic Records as a follow up to his previous album "Definition of Real".

Director McG Talks Arnold Schwarzenegger's Cameo in 'Terminator Salvation'

Interesting tidbits about the highly anticipated "Terminator Salvation" have been brought forward by director McG. During the Q&A session for the sci-fi action movie at the 4th annual New York Comic-Con, the 40-year-old filmmaker gave his time to discuss about the talked-about possible cameo of Arnold Schwarzenegger and the possibility of Linda Hamilton's involvement in the project.

About the Schwarzenegger's part, the man behind the modern feature film installments of "Charlie's Angels" hinted that the California Governor is most likely making an appearance in the film. "I don't want today's Arnold Schwarzenegger," McG shared his hope, revealing further that he would like to have the Schwarzenegger seen in the two first films, "I want the idealized, Griffith Park, Bill Paxton, tire-track-on-the-face archetype and we'll see what we can do about that."

"Valentine's Day card means nothing to me," so she says, adding, "I do not like talking about love. It is too revealing. But I have had so much love in my life, and I am always open to it."

She moreover thanks her family because of whom she still believes in love despite the fact that she has a number of failed love relationships. "I like to think I have a proper view of love. Age does not come into it. I love older people and I love children," she claims. "I have been lucky: love has always been there. My father and my mother, Eduardo and Encarna, brought me and my sister, Monica, and brother, Eduardo, to love and appreciate each other. A close family is very important. Blink-182 are set to reunite after breaking up in 2005. Confirming the news was the band's former members themselves; Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, during the gala ceremony of the 51st annual Grammy Awards on February 8.

Taking the stage of STAPLES Center just after Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder's duet performance, Hoppus jokingly said, "Isn't it great to see the Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder back together again?" Barker then added, "We used to play music together, and we decided we're going to play music together again."

Apple has exclusively posted a clip from "The International". Serving as an extended version of the previously-released clip entitled "The Chase", the footage provides a look at the scene before Clive Owen and Naomi Watts chase the possible assassin of the rallying politician.

Centering its story on Interpol Agent Louis Salinger and Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Eleanor Whitman, "The International" follows the two as they try to uncover the money laundering and illegal arms trading done by one of the world's most powerful banks. Full Length Trailer of 'Tron 2.0' at 2009 San Diego Comic-Con

Having been teasing a test footage for "Tron 2.0" at 2008 San Diego Comic-Con, director Joseph Kosinski reportedly will be bringing a full length trailer of the sci-fi adventure movie to this year San Diego Comic-Con. At its panel Saturday afternoon, February 7, at New York Comic Con, Radical Publishing broke out the news via publisher Barry Levine.

"Joseph Kosinski is directing Tron 2, and last year he did amazingly well at Comic Con [International in San Diego] where he showed that test and had 6000 people show up," Levine explained while announcing the future publication of illustrated novel "Oblivion" written by the director. "This year, he's going to have a trailer, not of the entire film, but just what he's been shooting. He started shooting in April, and given his pedigree and what I know about the film and what I know about Joe--the film will be amazing."

In the Trey Fanjoy-directed video, she is horrified when finding out that her in-video boyfriend, played by "One Tree Hill" star Stephen Colletti, is cheating on her. When the guy is begging for another chance via phone, Taylor simply says no and then hangs it up.

Concerning the theme carried by the video, Taylor Swift previously noted that "this video's a lot different than the other videos." She continued saying, "We've made because usually we've gone for bright colors and me looking straight into the camera and singing. But this one, it's a little more introspective. There's a pretty emotional scene in there where I had to cry for like three hours, like bawl my eyes out for three hours."

The complete and official cast of "Dancing with the Stars" season 8 has been unearthed. Apparently the leaked casting scoop last week hits the bullseye for all three, country singer Jewel Kilcher, actress Denise Richards and reality TV star Steve-O, are confirmed signing up for the dancing competition.

Bringing a different twist, however, this season for the first time presents celebrity spouses that will compete against each other. Rodeo star Ty Murray joins the show to battle his wife, Jewel. Another celebrity couple vying for the prize are Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks. Talking to People magazine, the show's Senior Talent Producer, Deena Katz said, "Julianne is the cutest thing you'll ever meet and she's one of the toughest teachers. I keep warning Chuck, 'you see this loving side, but she is tough.'"

Chris Brown Turns Himself In Following Felony Battery Investigation

Canceling his scheduled performance at the 51st annual Grammy Awards after becoming the target of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)'s investigation for felony battery, Chris Brown has turned himself in to the authorities on late Sunday, February 8, to be questioned in relation to the case. Per Los Angeles Time as being informed by the LAPD, Chris voluntarily showed up at the Wilshire Police Station at about 7:15 P.M., accompanied by his attorney Mark Geragos and Geragos' investigator, Scott Ross. They entered the building through a back door.

Chris reportedly has been booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, but was released after posting $50,000 bail. The case will now be sent to the district attorney's office and further charges could be filed, E! News claimed in a report on its site. He is due to back in court on March 5.

Video of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' Regal First Look

The special preview of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" screened at select Regal theaters has been leaked out. While some of the footage shown are similar to those seen in the trailers, the Regal First Look video still presents fresh footage, clips and interviews with the cast of the sixth "Harry Potter" movie.

Some of the new footage reportedly include the extended version of Bellatrix on top of a table in the Great Hall throwing a spell, a scene where Hermione throws birds at Ron as well as a footage showing Hermione's jealousy over Ron and Lavender. One other never-before-seen footage previews Dumbledore levitating items in the Dursleys house. Looking Into Tarik Saleh's Animated 'Metropia' Through First Teaser

The first teaser trailer of "Metropia" has arrived. Opened with a voiceover of a man calling for Roger, the footage shows Roger who is fast asleep suddenly wakes up. Though he keeps on hearing the voice in his head, Roger tries to go back to sleep, assuring himself that what he hears is only in his imagination. The teaser then moves on, presenting a compilation of clips through which it can be seen the meeting between Roger and Nina.

Set in a not-so-distant but terrifying Europe when the world is running out of oil and the net of undergrounds has been connected, "Metropia" follows a man from a Stockholm's suburb who tries to stay away from the underground. Constantly hearing a strange voice in his head, he soon finds out that his life is controlled in every detail. Needing to break free from it, he enlists a help from super-model Nina.

'He's Just Not That Into You' So Into North American Box Office

Debuted in theaters on Friday, February 6, star-studded romantic comedy "He's Just Not That Into You" has exceeded expectation and taken over the top slot at the North American box office over the weekend. Earning $7 million more than second place "Taken", the film based on the popular bestseller book by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo opened with $27.9 million bow.

According to Paul Dergarabedian, president of Media by Numbers, "He's Just Not That Into You" is the latest movie led by strong female characters to have scored big at the box office, following the footsteps of "Sex and the City", "Twilight" and "Mamma Mia!". "Women continue to drive box office in a big way," he said. "And we still continue to, mistakenly, underestimate the power of the female audience."

Announced by Charlie Haden and Jack Black, John Mayer won Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Say", the single taken from his 2006 studio LP "Continuum" and serves as a soundtrack of 2008 movie "The Bucket List". "Its always been an honor for being a musician," Mayer said briefly during the acceptance speech.

Sugarland's "Stay" performance was followed by another appearance from Adele, singing "Chasing Pavements". Introduced by Gwyneth Paltrow, Radiohead then invaded the stage with their energetic appearance.

Chris Brown Investigated for Felony Battery, Rihanna Cancels Grammys Performance

Amidst the cheer that is surrounding the on-going 51st annual Grammy Awards, new report surfaces, confirming that Chris Brown has been investigated by the LAPD for alleged domestic violence felony battery incident. The 19-year-old performer, according to various reports, allegedly assaulted an unidentified female companion during a heated argument on Sunday, February 8.

Chris and the reported woman were involved in a heated argument inside a car in L.A.'s Hancock Park neighborhood around 12:30 A.M. After stopping his car, the R 'n' B singer and the woman got out and the argument escalated, according to a police statement. Soon thereafter, the woman, who had visible injuries, phoned 911 and alleged Chris to have attacked her. By the time officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim, but Chris was no longer there.

51st Grammys: 'Wall-E' Collects Two Grammys

"Wall-E" was among the early winners at the 51st annual Grammy Awards. On Sunday, February 8, the Disney/Pixar animated film has taken home two kudos, including Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media for Peter Gabriel and Thomas Newman's "Down To Earth".

Winners List of 2009 BAFTA Awards

Having become one of the awards' season favorites, "Slumdog Millionaire" once again showed its domination at the 2009 Orange British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). On Sunday, February 8, at a gala ceremony held in London, the drama movie about a poor Indian orphan who gets a shot at winning millions in a television game has collected seven trophies, including Best Film.

For the Best Film title, "Slumdog" bested over "Frost/Nixon", "Milk", "The Reader" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". It has also scored Best Director for Danny Boyle, Best Music for A.R. Rahman, Best Cinematography for Anthony Dod Mantle, Best Editing for Chris Dickens and Best Sound.

51st Grammys: Coldplay Scooped Song of the Year

More winners were unveiled at this year's Grammy Awards. Announced by Al Green and Duffy, British band Coldplay received Song of the Year title for their single "Viva La Vida", which is taken from their fourth studio album "Viva La Vida".

After the announcement of Song of the Year, Miley Cyrus took the stage accompanied by country music singer Taylor Swift. Sitting on high chairs, the two teen singers delivered Taylor's hit single "Fifteen" during an acoustic set with Taylor strumming her guitar.

Live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Jennifer Hudson was handed the prize of Best R&B Album. Announced by Whitney Houston, her self-titled debut album won over Eric Benet's "Love & Life", Boyz II Men's "Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA", Al Green's "Lay It Down" and Raphael Saadiq's "The Way I See It".

After that, Sugarland's single "Stay" was revealed as Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals. The award was announced by Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes.
