David Archuleta Announcing 2009 Tour Dates

David Archuleta has announced a series of tour dates in support of his self-titled debut album. The runner up of "American Idol" season seven will begin traveling across America on February 24 at Sandler PAC in Virginia Beach, VA.

The following day, David will be heading up to Richmond, VA for another live concert at The National. After that, he will also make stops in Lancaster, Oklahoma and San Antonio among other major cities before wrapping it up on March 21 at Knitting Factory in Boise, ID.

What Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou Have to Say About 'Push'

As "Push" is counting down to its theatrical release in February, two of the sci-fi thriller stars, Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou open up about the upcoming movie from director Paul McGuigan. In a group interview held over the weekend in Los Angeles, the two discuss on the twisting plot of the movie as well as their experiences working for it.

Addressing the question about the complex storylines of "Push", Belle admits that she herself has trouble keeping up with the plot. "I remember a few moments where we all sat down and said, 'What happens? Where are we supposed to be going now?'" the 22-year-old actress fesses up, as quoted by Sci Fi Wire. "The plot itself is very confusing," she added. "We still don't understand exactly what happened."

Michael Jackson Sued by 'Thriller' Music Video Director

Michael Jackson gets sued by John Landis, the director who once helped him filming music video for his 1983 single "Thriller". The filmmaker, whose movie "Animal House" won at 1979 People's Choice awards for Favorite Non-Musical Motion Picture, says that the singer owes him lots of cash in royalties for the classic 14-minute music video.

Saying that he hasn't been paid over profits made from the music video in the past four years, John filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles last week, seeking for compensation. Though giving no specific amount on how much Michael has to pay him, the director claims 50% of profit from the video and other related materials.

Hilary Duff's Role in 'Ghost Whisperer' Unveiled

More details are emerging regarding Hilary Duff's acting gig in "Ghost Whisperer". CBS announce that she will play a character named Morgan Jefferies who is described as "a beautiful woman of mystery" who may be involved in the death of a man who fell victim, literally, to a freak accident. Her episode will air on Friday, April 10 at 8/7c.

Apart from her guest starring roles, Hilary had been the main cast of Disney Channel's "Lizzie Maguire". She is due to appear in her first primetime series role "Barely Legal" on NBC as the youngest person to pass the notoriously difficult California bar exam to be an attorney.

'The A-Team' Moves Forward With Joe Carnahan

Twentieth Century Fox are back on track in bringing NBC's popular '80s TV series to the big screen. According to Variety, the studio has appointed "Smokin' Aces" helmer, Joe Carnahan, as the director of "The A-Team". He will fill in the gap left open after director John Singleton, who was attached to the project earlier, dropped out.

Carnahan, the co-writer of "Pride and Glory", will join forces with executive producer Tony Scott and producers, Ridley Scott, Jules Daly and Stephen J. Cannell, the latest of whom created the original series. Carnahan is also expected to polish Skip Woods' script with Brian Bloom.

Sneak Peek of 'Trust Me' 1.02: All Hell The Victors

TNT's new drama series "Trust Me" is moving on to the second episode and a clip has been released as a sneak peek. It shows Sarah (Monica Potter) demanding the office that she was promised while in the other hand Mason is unwilling to give up his office.

Mason is under pressure to get his team to come up with a new tagline for Arc Mobile after the first line was rejected by the client. But the replacement line Conner feeds Mason, a line that the client loves, is fraught with problems that could cost Mason's new position and damage his trust for Conner. Sarah is determined to get the office she was promised, but she's not too keen on the partner Mason wants to foist on her.

Ashlee Simpson is defending her singer sister Jessica Simpson, who has become the subject of media scrutiny due to her weight gain, saying in a post on her blog that she is "completely disgusted by the headlines". The defense comes shortly after photos of Jess sporting fuller figure during her performance at the Radio 99.9 Kiss Country's annual Chili Cookoff in Pembroke Pines, Fla. on Sunday, January 25 appeared all over the web.

Under the headline "Since when did a woman's weight become newsworthy," Ashlee writes, "A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a headline on Fox News." She goes on arguing, "All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard."

40th NAACP Image Awards Unveils Nominees in Directing Categories

Completing the list of nominees for the 40th NAACP Image Awards, the NAACP has at long last come out with the announcement of the directing nomination for motion picture, comedy series and dramatic series. On Tuesday, January 27, it is revealed that "The Secret Life of Bees" and "Ugly Betty" are among those receiving the nods.

In addition to the previous eight gongs "The Secret Life of Bees" collected, the Southern-set drama has scored a directing nom for helmer Gina Prince Bythewood. For the title, Bythewood is put up against Darnell Martin of "Cadillac Records", Patrik Ian Polk of "Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom", Spike Lee of "Miracle at St. Anna" and Tyler Perry of "The Family That Preys".

Rep Blames Stress for Lindsay Lohan's Weight Loss

A representative for Lindsay Lohan is wasting no time to hit out at speculation that the actress is battling an eating disorder, claiming she loses weight due to stress. "Lindsay is aware that she's lost some weight due to stress, but we recently did a photo shoot and she ate two full meals," the rep tells The New York Post's Page Six.

Meanwhile, rumor has it, Lindsay's dramatic weight loss may have something to do with her rocky relationship with lesbian lover, DJ Samantha Ronson. The representative doesn't comment on that matter though.

Seven Clips and Three TV Spots From 'The Pink Panther 2'

In anticipation to the upcoming release of "The Pink Panther 2", seven clips and three TV spots from the comedy movie have been put forth. While some of the clips share never-before-seen footage cut out from the Steve Martin-starring movie, some others serve as the extended versions from several scenes seen in the trailers.

Five of the seven clips, titled "Bottle of Wine", "Fire", "Don Corleone", "Hamburger", "Element of Surprise", are newly-released, providing sneak peeks to the hilarious scenes with Inspector Jacques Clouseau as the source of the craziness. Demi Lovato shares that she wants to record songs, which carry similar sounds to John Mayer's, in her new album. The Disney star furthermore reveals she will be exploring her songwriting talent and penning some songs for the effort.

"I'm actually recording ... well, writing the album right now. It's going to take a different sound, so hopefully it goes over well," Demi tells MTV. "I sing a lot of rock, but this time I want to do more John Mayer-ish type of songs. Hopefully I can write with people like him. I love their music - it would be amazing."

USA Crowned Winner of 'Superstars of Dance'

The first ever champions of dance competition "Superstars of Dance" had been crowned on Monday, January 26. Taking the golds in each category were Russia in Solo, Argentina in Duet and USA in Group. Meanwhile, USA also scored the top prize by being the country with highest overall points, and therefore was declared the ultimate winner of the show's first season.

Hip-hop dance group Groovaloos from USA was announced as the winner of the group category and consequently earned enough points for their country to be in the first position with 530 points. "There you have it, the United States of America, the very first winners of the International Superstars of Dance Trophy!" host Michael Flately exclaimed.

Paul McGuigan's 'Push' Brings Out Another Set of New Clips

Nick Gant and Cassie Holmes continue to battle baddies, and Kira Hudson outsmarts a Division agent are some of the footage shown in the four freshly-found clips of "Push". Entitled "Fish Market", "I Don't Have A Brother", "Relieved of Duty" and "You Are A Crappy Artist", the snippets are varied in their running time length, from 36 seconds to a minute.

The "Fish Market" clip shows Nick and Cassie's attempt to escape the evil gang of psychics which they encounter in a crowded market. The new clip continues the battle sequences, displayed in previously released clip called "They're in the Market". Another new clip, "I Don't Have A Brother", provides a scene where Kira is using her 'Pusher' ability to make agent Mack shoots down his partner.

Along with her win at Screen Actors Guild Awards last weekend, Meryl Streep earns an acting gig in "30 Rock". The actress who snatched the Best Actress title for her role in "Doubt" was reportedly in a good mood and immediately said yes when Alec Baldwin offered her to join in the show.

New York Daily News reported that Baldwin took the opportunity to approach Streep and it was not so hard a task to do. "Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show. She said yes immediately," the publication quoted an insider. No words yet whether this swing-by offer will lead to a serious cameo.

Almost two months after rumor swirling in the media claims The Cheetah Girls will be splitting after completing their tour, Adrienne Bailon, one of the band's members, comes out with a statement confirming the issue is true. Speaking to Just Jared Jr., the singer says, "I think that the brand has now come to an end."

"But like everything - High School Musical will no longer be. Same thing. We had a great run," Adrienne shares further. "But I think Disney - it was a platform for us to continue the dreams and they want to spread the same Cheetah Girl message to carry with us, which is Girl empowerment. No Lara Croft Role for Megan Fox In New 'Tomb Raider' Film

Contrary to the circulating speculations, Megan Fox won't be the new Lara Croft in "Tomb Raider 3". Looking for a confirmation for the story, IO9 came out with a rejecting statement from the 22-year-old's spokesperson. "She's not involved in the movie at all," so claimed the spokesperson on the rumor as quoted by IO9.

Days earlier, the possibility of Fox taking the place of Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in next installment of "Tomb Raider" franchise has been outed by European site MeriStation. The report at the time noted that the "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People" actress has been favored to take on the heroine role since she shares a lot in common with Jolie.

Susan Sarandon May Appear as a Guest Star in 'ER'

"ER" aims it big for its final season wrap. Now that George Clooney is known to have appeared on the set of the show, the execs are splatting the icing of the cake by signing Susan Sarandon in. E! Online reported that the actress has filmed some scenes with Clooney late last week.

Sources are spilling that they filmed together at the Warner Studios in Burbank but no more details are given other than the info that the episode will air toward the end of the the current final season. It still remains a mystery though how Clooney's Dr. Doug Ross will contribute to the storyline but E! said that he shares at least one scene with Linda Cardellini who plays Nurse Samantha Taggart.

New Japanese Promo Trailer of 'Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li'

"Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" has just got another fresh Japanese promo trailer. Though extremely short, the new trailer still brings several new footage, including the shot of Kristin Kreuk's Chun-Li in her signature ox-horns hairstyle, for second live-action film based on the Street Fighter series of video games.

The trailer opens with a footage from its adapted video game where Chun-Li is battling against Vega. It then moves on, previewing a compilation of some of the action sequences. Though the trailer focuses mostly on Chun-Li's fighting scenes, it also displays Vega's sophisticated combat with another fighter.

Singer Nick Carter of boy band Backstreet Boys turns 29 years old on Wednesday, January 28, but he threw an earlier celebration at the Key Club in Hollywood on Monday night, January 26. Fellow band members; Howie Dorough and A.J. McLean, were seen among the guests, which included former NSYNC member JC Chasez and Nick's younger brother, Aaron Carter.

"They shut off all the lights and did a surprise for Nick downstairs early in the night," a witness said. "They all yelled surprise and they had cupcakes for him." Guests were treated to a tower of Sprinkles cupcakes and to a live performance by the house band, Steel Panther.

A new track entitled "When the Money Goes" from Jay-Z has made its way out. Up to date, there hasn't any statement whether the single is recorded for his upcoming eleventh studio album "The Blueprint 3" or crafted for another project.

First Trailer of 'The Damned United' Arrives

A brand new trailer of "The Damned United" has been unraveled. Lasting for two minutes long, the video footage shows the time Brian Clough is being hailed as the best young manager in England and the time he is being despised. In the trailer, it is explained that Clough had talent and he knew it, but the bosses, players and fans didn't.

Based on David Peace's book of the same name, "The Damned United" is a biopic of legendary English soccer coach Brian Clough. Set in 1974 with flash back to the 1960s, the sport drama chronicles Clough's ill-fated 44-day reign as manager of Leeds United, then one of England's most successful soccer teams. When the board of directors sacks him, he left the club as an extremely wealthy man.

'NCIS' Star Pauley Perrette Engaged to Cameraman Michael Bosman

Pauley Perrette, who plays the role of Abby Sciuto in CBS' drama series "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service", has been engaged to her boyfriend, cameraman Michael Bosman. CBS confirms the good news to E! News, but the network doesn't provide further details of the pair's engagement.

Pauley and Michael, according to E! News, began dating in 2005 while the small screen actress was still in the process of finalizing her divorce to rocker husband Coyote Shivers, whom she married in October 2000. Having no comment on her engagement to Michael, Pauley herself has been quoted as stating, "We're calling the wedding a celebration of love, of how much we love each other and how much we appreciate those who have shown us so much support and love in our journey together."

Mike's old Army friend recruits his help to investigate the suspicious death of a tough-as-nails drill sergeant Jack Burber (guest star Tiki Barber, "Today"). Mike learns that the drill sergeant was participating in an underground fight club for military veterans for extra money. In order to find out what really happened, Mike has to infiltrate the fight club and try not to get himself killed in the ring.

Paramount Pictures have revealed a series of brand new posters from "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" via MySpace. The one-sheets showcase six major characters, Channing Tatum's Duke, Marlon Wayans' Ripcord, Sienna Miller's The Baroness, Rachel Nichols' Scarlett, Ray Park' Snake Eyes and Lee Byung-hun's Storm Shadow, in their fighting outfits.

"G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" is set ten years in the future and chronicles the rise of the Cobra Organization. Focusing on Duke and Ripcord's introduction to the elite G.I. Joe team, it follows the team from the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps as they fight the corrupt arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the Cobra in plunging the world into chaos.

A music video in accompaniment of Blue October's new single "Dirt Room" has been premiered. It captures a man breaking into a house and trying to steal some jewelry. Despite the fact that she is only a lady, the owner seizes the guy.

Tying both his hands and feet, she blusters at him by carrying a shovel and digging a hole in her backyard. She then puts the frightened man in the hole but instead of burying him there, she leaves him and comes back with police officers and several neighbors.
