What to Expect From 'My Bloody Valentine 3-D', Promo Video Included

While "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" is yet to open wide in U.S. at least until this Friday, January 16, rave reviews have flooded in from those who have the chance to catch a special screening of the horror thriller remake last week. Compiled in one promo video which also includes footage from the movie, the reviews came from Brad Miska of Bloody-Disgusting to horror films' creator Wes Craven.

Promoted to be the best date movie, this 3-D remake to the 1981 low-budget Canadian slasher movie surely did left great impressions to some. Bloody-Disgusting's Brad Miska stated, "It's one of the best time I've had in theaters in a long time." Wes Craven, who gushed that the movie gives out so many great moments of suspense, sounded similar remark, saying he had lot of fun watching it. Staci Layne Wilson of Horror.com added that it is definitely a thrill ride as it is "scary, gory" and shows lots of obligatory naked chicks.

Ethan helps Annie rehearse her lines to prepare to audition for the new school play and both are taken back when they learn that Ty (guest star Adam Gregory) is also auditioning. Dixon turns to Debbie for some advice to help his relationship with Silver.

Post her Golden Globes appearance, Miley Cyrus takes time to have a bike ride with her family and rumored boyfriend Justin Gaston. The Disney actress-singer rode her bike around her neighborhood in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon, January 13 and was joined by her mother Leticia "Tish" Cyrus and sister Brandi.

Earlier in the afternoon, Miley, Tish, and Brandi rode their bikes together. Justin, elsewhere, was taped walking the family's dogs alongside Miley's country music singer father Billy Ray Cyrus. Justin then was seen joining Miley and Brandi, riding bikes around her family's home.

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis' Wedding Report Resurfaces

A new report has just surfaced, claiming Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis will make their union official at a private wedding ceremony to be held in April. According to MyPARK magazine, the longtime partners will wed "in a chapel on the grounds of their $1.25 million French estate."

Opting for an intimate wedding ceremony, Depp and Paradis reportedly limit their guests list to only 50 of their closest friends and family. "They're a very private couple. It's no surprise they'd want to celebrate at their home," a source tells MyPARK when mentioning one possible reason on why the celebrity couple doesn't want their wedding being exposed.

Slipknot's Frontman Corey Taylor Plans to Record Solo Album

Corey Taylor, the lead singer of Slipknot, has revealed his plan to hit studio for solo debut album. "I know I have this album that I need to make," so the 35-year-old vocalist tells Billboard.

"I'm the kind of guy that if I can't get that done then it's going to hold me back from all this other stuff I want to do," the Stone Sour's founder explains in a statement. "I just know I've got to make it or I can't branch out."

'American Idol' Eight Season Premiere Recap: Bikini Girl and Blind Talent

The Idol fever has roamed once again with the eight season premiere of "American Idol" on Tuesday, January 13. Changing in its format and judges panel, the show delivers still the best and the worst in the audition rounds. First stop, Phoenix, Arizona, where the hot weather sends a girl auditioning in a bikini.

Katrina Darrell thought that she will make a difference to the show, appearing only in two-piece. Her vocal was not a favorite to the new judge, Kara DioGuardi, but her charm apparently put her through, thanks to two thumbs up from Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell. Unhappy DioGuardi said, "Next time come naked" upon her exit from the room. Darrell, who promised to "make out" with host Ryan Seacrest if she got through, then ran to find him and made it true, much to Ryan's shock.

Trailer of Oliver Blackburn's Suspense Thriller 'Donkey Punch'

"Donkey Punch" has finally released its trailer. Posted exclusively on Yahoo! Movies, the less than two-minute video starts off with a scene showing three women enjoying their holiday in Spain. While having a drink at a nightclub in a Mediterranean resort, they meet four men who offer them to continue the party on one of the men's yacht.

When the party gets wilder, one of the ladies dies in a freak accident. Though in the beginning all six agree to throw her body overboard to avoid troubles with the police, some change their minds due to their own fears and consciences, leading to a ruthless fight for survival.

Meet the 16 'Survivor: Tocantins' Castaways

The audition is over and the new season of "Survivor" is ready to get a kick start. The 16 castaways that will participate in the Tocantins edition of the reality game, have been announced. The line-up includes among others, models, a Grammy Awards nominee and a 19-year-old.

Sydney Wheeler (24), Sierra Reed (23) and Candace Smith (31) are models that will serve the women power. Tamara 'Taj' Johnson-George (37) meanwhile was one third of singing group SWV that grabbed a nomination at the Grammys and who was the star of reality show "I Married a Baller" in 2007. Also, if "Survivor: Gabon" had the oldest contestant, the Tocantins finds the youngest one in college student Spencer Duhm (19).

"Not Anymore", a new material from LeToya Luckett, the former member of Destiny's Child, has been revealed. Written by Ne-Yo, it is confirmed to be the lead single in her upcoming sophomore studio album "Lady Love".

In recording new songs for "Lady Love", LeToya reportedly works with powerhouse producers, such as Pharrell Williams, The-Dream, Raphael Saadiq, Polow Da Don, StarGate, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and many others. She is expected to release the effort on April 7 across U.S.

Samuel L. Jackson May Be Nick Fury No More

Despite making a cameo appearance as Nick Fury at the end of "Iron Man", Samuel L. Jackson may no longer be seen as the S.H.I.E.L.D. director in the future installments of Marvel's superhero films. Breaking out the speculation was Jackson himself when talking to Geoff Boucher of the Los Angeles Times blog, Hero Complex.

Suggesting that he probably won't tackle the part in "Iron Man 2", "The First Avenger: Captain America" and "The Avengers", the 60-year-old pointed out that there has been a negotiation break-down. "There was a huge kind of negotiation that broke down," he stated. "I don't know. Maybe I won't be Nick Fury. Maybe somebody else will be Nick Fury or maybe Nick Fury won't be in it."

2009 Evening Standard British Film Awards Announces Nominees

Hot on the heels of the 66th Golden Globe Awards celebration last Sunday, January 11, British newspaper Evening Standard announced the nominations of the 2009 Evening Standard British Film Awards. On Tuesday, January 13, it was made public that "Frost/Nixon", "Slumdog Millionaire", "Hunger" and "The Reader" are among those vying for the awards.

"Frost/Nixon" and "Hunger" were both up for the Best Film title along with Joanna Hogg-directed "Unrelated". The two had also secured a nod for Best Actor category, Michael Sheen for "Frost/Nixon" and Michael Fassbender for "Hunger". "Frost/Nixon", in addition, had collected a Best Screenplay gong for its scribbler Peter Morgan, while "Hunger" gave its editor Joe Walker a chance to win an award in the Technical Achievement field.

Exclusive Clips of 'Friday Night Lights' Season 3

Eleven exclusive clips that run over 14 minutes are released to give highlights on the new episodes of "Friday Night Lights". The show will be replayed on NBC with an episode called "I Knew You When" on Friday, January 16.

Following his exit from Def Jam Records which leads to report saying that he has let down the company for not dropping good music for their artists, Jermaine Dupri reaches out to Essence Magazine, clarifying that the truth behind the story is not the one swirling in the media. "Island [Def Jam Records] is going to say what makes them look good," so he tells the publication.

"They are not going to tell the truth and say, 'He just stopped dealing with us on a daily basis'," Jermaine explains. "If you don't put out my records, that's all I have as a person. I'm a record person, so if I give you a record and you don't put it out, then basically you're showing me that it's really no business."

"In a different time...In a quiet place...Something is coming," the newly-outed trailer of "Alien Trespass" kicks off the preview. Brought forth by IGN, the trailer teases what to expect from the sci-fi comedy, exposing how the terror begins to take over after a fiery object from space crashes into a mountaintop in the California desert.

Set in 1957, the Roadside Attractions movie revolves around an unidentified object which brings the threat of disaster to Earth. Crashing into a mountaintop in the California desert, the spaceship lets out the Ghota, which mission is to destroy all life forms on the blue planet. Trying to stop the creature, a benevolent alien from the same spaceship, Urp, makes use of Ted Lewis' body. And, with the help of Tammy, a waitress from the local diner, he sets out to save mankind.

Description of 'Terminator Salvation' New York Preview

Some early footage from "Terminator Salvation" have been screened for selected press in New York City, Monday, January 12 and several publications have got reports on the scenes previewed. Noting that director McG has called the action thriller as "a war film", MTV hinted that the screened footage were filled with "heart-pounding battles, anxiety-inducing silences, big explosions and bigger explosions".

Meanwhile, ComingSoon came out with a detailed description of the clips shown. Explaining what can be seen in the first clip, the site wrote that it begins with a scene where Anton Yelchin's Kyle Reese and Sam Worthington's Marcus Wright arrive at a seemingly abandoned 7-Eleven. Alison Sweeney, host of the seventh season of NBC's reality TV show "The Biggest Loser," has given birth to a baby girl, her second child with husband David Sanov, 12 minutes to midnight on Monday, January 12. In an exclusive report by People, it is confirmed that the infant, weighing in at 6 lb.- 7 oz. at time of birth, is named Megan Hope Sanov.

Telling People that "Both mommy and baby - and daddy, too - are doing well," Alison's representative, Carrie Simons, also reveals the actress was "still in hair and makeup from her day on the set!" shortly before she delivered the baby. "It was a very easy delivery, and everybody is great," Carrie adds.

Emma Roberts and Friends Come to the Rescue of Stray Dogs in 'Hotel for Dogs' Clip

Literally days away from "Hotel for Dogs" theatrical release, Yahoo! Movies has got its hands on an exclusive clip of the DreamWorks family comedy movie. Entitled "Being Rescued", the nearly one and a half minute video previews the scene where 16-year-old Andi, her younger brother Bruce and their friends are in a mission to save stray dogs.

Opening the clip, Andi played by Emma Roberts and Dave portrayed by Johnny Simmons come across two stray dogs, one of them is stuck under a fence. After rescuing the pair, another rescue attempt is taking over the screen. This time, the dog rescue crew sets up a scheme which allows them to release a group of captured stray dogs from a dogcatcher's van. Aside from this newly-released clip, "Hotel for Dogs" has previously let out nine other clips.

Becoming the last person existing on Earth, she is seen tiptoeing into the footprints on the sands left by her lover. At the end, a man approaches from distance and the two meet in a huge hug.

"Really, I'm on my own and I'm searching, and finally he comes to me. I don't know where he's been, and he comes back to me. It's very timeless," Christina told MTV over the theme carried by the video. "When you see it, it's nothing like anything you'd see now. I want to be iconic in every music video that I do. 'Prison Break' Not Surviving FOX's Shuffle

A massive change in programming is being conducted by FOX. After giving another chance to "'Til Death", the network axe their long-running series, "Prison Break" that fails to increase the rate when it entered the fourth season. The decision came in tow with the plan to bring in more comedy to their line-up.

FOX Entertainment president Kevin Reilly announced that they will give a seal of approval for five new comedy pilots next week and that they will need the space to squeeze them in. "Prison Break" that had an average of 12.1 million viewers in the first season, will have its final showdown this midseason. "The show is just played out," Reilly explained.

Rumor has it, Jackie Chan is going to be Jaden Smith's mentor in the modern version of "The Karate Kid", "Untitled Karate Kid Remake". Breaking the possible casting news is Entertainment Weekly, stating that the kung-fu movies icon will take on Pat Morita's Mr. Miyagi role in the new project.

The speculation of Chan tackling Miyagi role could be true since previously the movie's producer Will Smith has shared to MTV that the movie will be set in China. "We're making it with the China Film Group, so it'll be based in Beijing," the "Seven Pounds" actor said. "Mr. Miyagi was originally Japanese, so there'll be a Chinese adaptation to it."

Revealed, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's Baby's Name

Welcoming the arrival of their second daughter last Tuesday, January 6, it wasn't until Tuesday, January 13 that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck revealed the name of their newborn baby. The couple had his spokesman, Shawn Sachs, confirming that the celebrity parents named their baby girl Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.

No explanation was offered for the name, where it is derived from or what it means. It was also not mentioned on why the pair decided to pick the name.
