The 79-year-old star of CBS' series 'Blue Bloods' expresses concerns about his financial stability and the potential loss of his California ranch if the show concludes.

AceShowbiz - Tom Selleck, 79, has been a mainstay on television since 2010 with his role in "Blue Bloods". However, with the show scheduled to end later this year, Selleck is facing the prospect of losing a significant source of income, potentially impacting his ability to maintain his 63-acre California ranch.

In a recent interview on "CBS Sunday Morning", Selleck admitted that he is concerned about the future of his property. "Hopefully, I keep working enough to hold onto the place," he said. He explained that despite his success, the upkeep of a large ranch is substantial. "That's always an issue - if I stopped working, yeah," he added.

Selleck's passion for the ranch is evident. He has dedicated himself to restoring the former avocado farm, which was hit by drought. "It's a retreat," he said in a 2020 interview with PEOPLE.

Despite his financial worries, Selleck remains optimistic about his career prospects. He believes that "Blue Bloods" still has a strong following and hopes that CBS will reverse its decision to end the show. "We're the third-highest scripted show in all of broadcast," he pointed out. "All the cast wants to come back."

Selleck's acting career spans six decades, but he continues to approach each role with a sense of urgency. "As an actor, you never lose - I don't lose, anyway - that sense that every time I finish a job, it's my last job," he said. "I like the fact that there's no excuses! You just go to work and you do the work."

Selleck's determination to keep working stems from his deep reverence for his craft. "I have a lot of reverence for what I call 'the work'," he said. "And I love it. And I'd like to keep doing it."

While Tom Selleck's future may hold some uncertainty, his dedication to his ranch and his love of acting remain steadfast.
