Diddy has sparked a new wave of strong reactions from public and fellow celebrities after footage of his assaulting then-girlfriend Cassie went viral on the internet.

AceShowbiz - Friday, May 17 saw a wave of shock and horror as newly unearthed footage of Sean "P. Diddy" Combs assaulting singer Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel emerged. The video by CNN shows a shirtless Diddy wrapped in a towel, chasing Cassie down a hallway at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City. As Cassie attempts to enter an elevator, Diddy is seen hitting her.

Emily Ratajkowski was among the first celebrities to react, posting a simple yet powerful response, "monster."

Aubrey O'Day, Diddy's former protege, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her dismay, pointing out the disturbing nature of the footage and offering prayers for all of Diddy's victims. "The picture is getting a lot more clear for you all I can imagine," she wrote.

Meanwhile, Diddy's longtime rival, 50 Cent, responded with sarcasm, highlighting the potential defense arguments Diddy's legal team might present, "Now I'm sure puffy didn't do it, he is innocent this proves nothing! This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all."

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy didn't mince words, calling for severe repercussions, "Throw Diddy in jail. Throw away the key to whoever had this video and kept their mouth shut. I mean holy f***."

The gut-wrenching footage underscores a deeply troubling incident that occurred just two days before Diddy and Cassie appeared holding hands on the red carpet for the premiere of "The Perfect Match" back in 2016.

The case has continued to make headlines, particularly after Cassie sued Diddy last year, with the lawsuit being settled out of court for an undisclosed amount in November.

In response to the video, Cassie's attorney, Douglas Wigdor, praised her bravery, stating, "Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light."

Diddy's lawyer, Ben Brafman, has steadfastly denied the accusations, describing Cassie's lawsuit as "riddled with baseless and outrageous lies." According to Brafman, Diddy has faced a persistent demand from Cassie for $30 million, which he characterized as "blatant blackmail."

The relationship between Cassie and Diddy spanned over a decade, from 2007 to 2018, having started when Cassie was just 19 years old, compared to Diddy's 37 years of age at the time of their meeting in 2006.

The video and its fallout continue to stir conversations about accountability, the impact of celebrity status on justice, and the power of social media in bringing past abuses to light. As reactions pour in, one thing is clear: the public and many within the celebrity circle are demanding justice and change.
