Tori Spelling addresses the frequent question about why she hasn't been cast on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' and shares her theory about Andy Cohen's hesitation.

AceShowbiz - Tori Spelling has opened up about her long-standing question from fans: why she hasn't been cast on the hit Bravo series "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." The "Beverly Hills, 90210" star addressed the topic on her "misSPELLING" podcast, revealing that she has asked Bravo boss Andy Cohen directly about it.

"Once I asked Andy Cohen... he was like, 'Yeah, we keep getting this question,' " Spelling recalled. "He was like, 'Ehh, I don't know. You and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? I can't see it.' "

Spelling, who played Donna Martin on the original "Beverly Hills" teen drama, questioned why Cohen wouldn't cast her despite her close relationships with the show's cast members.

"I go, 'Every single one of them I am friends with and have known forever and have a history,' " she shared. "But whoa, whoa, whoa, wasn't I the OG Beverly Hills? I don't understand."

Spelling has her own theory about Cohen's hesitation. "What I really want to say to him... is, 'Uh, is it 'cause I'm broke? Let's be real,' " she said.

Spelling has faced financial struggles in recent years as she went through a divorce from ex-husband Dean McDermott.

While insisting she didn't know why she wasn't cast, Spelling actually expressed reluctance to join the show in the past. In 2022, she told Bethenny Frankel on her "ReWives" podcast that she wouldn't want to be "eaten alive" by the other women. "The drama I like is like my family chaos at home... I can't deal with girl drama," Spelling said at the time.

Despite the speculation, the current cast of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" consists of Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Doris Kelsey, Garcelle Beauvais, and Sutton Stracke. Crystal Kung Minkoff and Annemarie Wiley have announced their departure from the show.
