AceShowbiz - Katy Perry appeared to have successfully tricked many social media users. Shortly after receiving mixed responses on her fresh haircut, the "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" hitmaker revealed the truth behind her major hair transformation.
On Monday, April 29, the 39-year-old singer got candid with her followers about her hair makeover. She made use of Instagram to upload a video in which she made a clarification. In the clip, she could be heard saying, "You guys had a lot of strong feelings about my haircut. Let's see that energy for #KP6, cause this is just a wig," before blinking.
In the short footage, Katy was documented sitting down on a staircase and sipping her canned drink. She looked stunning with her glossy shoulder-length black hair, which was let loose with her bangs covering her forehead.
The "Chained to the Rhythm" songstress sported an all-black ensemble, consisting of a black suit, a pair of matching leggings and matching pointed-toe high heels. The long-sleeved blazer came with two shoulder pads, a plunging V-neckline and many tiny sparkling silver sequins.
Katy accessorized herself with a silver choker-like necklace and a pair of huge matching earrings. She looked stunning with her full makeup, including pink lipstick and bright blue eyes. In addition, she polished her fingernails in a cotton candy pink color.
In the same post, the "Dark Horse" singer also let out a series of photos highlighting the stylish outfit. She was pictured striking a number of poses on the staircase and in front of a black backdrop. Along with the clip and snaps, she wrote in the caption of the post, "Slide 4 for all you KatyRats #idol."
The post came only hours after Katy made many believe that she chopped off her tresses. Earlier on Monday, she released a video of her sitting down while her hairstylist was cutting her tresses. At one point, the hairstylist said that he was "cutting [her] hair." In the footage, the hair was so short that it did not reach her shoulders, prompting some social media users to say that they preferred her with longer hair.
