AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has surprised many social media users with her new hairstyle. The "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" hitmaker treated her fans, famously known as KatyCats, to a video highlighting her fresh haircut.
On Monday, April 29, the 39-year-old singer offered her followers a look at the result of her hair makeover. Making use of her Instagram page, she uploaded a video highlighting her new look. In the short clip, it could be seen that she was sitting down while her hairstylist was cutting her tresses.
While recording the hairstylist doing his job, Katy asked, "What are you doing?" In response, the hairstylist said, "Cutting your hair," before she moved her head several times to show off the result. She went on to ask, "What's your Instagram [account] so that the KatyCats can let you know how they feel?" He simply replied, "Jesushair."
In the footage, the "Chained to the Rhythm" songstress looked fresh while showcasing her black hair, which apparently was so short that it did not reach her shoulders. The tresses were let loose and parted in the middle. In addition, she also had bangs that covered her forehead.
Katy, who has been flaunting her long back hair for the past year, was documented sporting a light gray top that came with an off-the-shoulder design. She made sure to look stunning with her full makeup, including long lashes. Along with the video, she asked her fans for their opinions in the caption of the post, "Thoughts, comments, concerns? #idol."
After debuting the fresh haircut, many social media users took to Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their thoughts on Katy's new look. Some of them seemingly preferred her with longer hair. One in particular penned, "Can she just release a single with the long black hair omg I'm begging."
Similarly, another wrote, "GIRL STOP CUTTING THAT DAMN HAIR!!!" A third stated, "Oh my the pixie cut was her downfall but this is better." In the meantime, a fourth gushed, "Girl I don't care if you are bald, you are shining & glowing, happiness looks great on you bb."
