**Jumanji: The Next Level** is an upcoming American fantasy adventure film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Kasdan, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg. The film is the sequel to the 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and the third installment in the Jumanji franchise. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, and Danny DeVito. The film follows the four teenagers who return to Jumanji to rescue one of their friends who is trapped in the game. The film is scheduled to be released on December 13, 2019.
