The Politician is an American comedy-drama television series created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan for Netflix. The first season follows Payton Hobart, a wealthy high school student who runs for class president in order to eventually become President of the United States. The season stars Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Bob Balaban, and Judith Light. A promotional video for the first season, titled "So Many Stars," was released on Netflix's official YouTube channel on September 20, 2019.
