Disney's "The Lion King" (2019) is an upcoming computer-animated musical film directed by Jon Favreau, produced by Walt Disney Pictures, and set to be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film is a photorealistic remake of Disney's 1994 film of the same name and is based on Shakespeare's Hamlet.
