Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a forthcoming American computer-animated superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales / Spider-Man. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the first animated film in the Spider-Man franchise and the second installment in Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse universe. The film is directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, from a screenplay by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and stars Shameik Moore as Morales, alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, and Mahershala Ali. In the film, Morales must team up with other Spider-Men from alternate universes to stop the Kingpin from destroying their worlds.
