The CW has released a new promo for Black Lightning ahead of its panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The video offers a glimpse at the upcoming series, which follows Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), a high school principal and former superhero who returns to action to protect his family and community. The promo also features glimpses of other characters in the series, including Anissa Pierce (Nafessa Williams), Jennifer Pierce (China Anne McClain), and Gambi (James Remar). Black Lightning is set to premiere on The CW on October 9, 2017.
