Welcome to Marwen is an upcoming American biographical drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis, and written by Zemeckis and Caroline Thompson. The film is based on the 2010 documentary film Marwencol. It stars Steve Carell, Leslie Mann, Diane Kruger, Merritt Wever, Janelle Monáe, and Gwendoline Christie. The film tells the story of Mark Hogancamp (Carell), a man who builds a miniature scale model of a World War II-era Belgian town as a way to cope with the trauma of a brutal attack.
