Adrift (2018) is an American biographical drama film directed by Baltasar Kormákur and written by Aaron and Jordan Kandell. The film stars Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin as Tami Oldham and Richard Sharp, a couple who set out on a sailing trip from Tahiti to San Diego in 1983, but are caught in a hurricane and left adrift for 41 days. The film is based on the book of the same name by Tami Oldham Ashcraft, which recounts her experiences during the ordeal. A television spot for the film, titled "Survival," was released on YouTube in 2018.
