The 100 is an American post-apocalyptic science fiction drama television series based on the book series of the same name by Kass Morgan. The series follows a group of 100 juvenile delinquents who are sent down to Earth after a nuclear war destroys civilization. The series premiered on The CW on March 19, 2014, and has since aired seven seasons. The seventh season concluded on September 30, 2020. In May 2021, The CW renewed the series for an eighth and final season, which is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
