The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror television series that premiered on AMC on October 31, 2010. The series is based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. It tells the story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a former police officer who awakens from a coma to find the world has been overrun by zombies. He joins a group of survivors and travels in search of a safe haven.
